New research  has found that electronic technology is leaving the under 20’s in pain!  This Chiropractic Awareness Week (14 – 20 April) Chiropractors Ian Reed and Richard Nelson of WellBeing Clinics Derby are warning parents that their children could be at risk from suffering from back or neck pain due to their sedentary lifestyles and the excessive use of technology.  The latest findings are:-

Backcare back awareness week

The charity, Backcare, launches its awareness week on 7th-11th October.  This year the charity turns its attention to the ‘forgotten army’ of helpers and carers who often have to lift/move the person they care for repetitively, and often in far from ideal postures.  For many of these actions, had been in a work environment they would exceed current health and safety lifting guidelines.

Bad ‘tension’ headaches?

Tension headaches may not be due to tension at all.  In many cases ‘tension’ headaches are caused by problems in your neck.  Stiff, locked vertebral joints, spasmed, stiff neck and shoulder muscles as well as compressed nerves can all be to blame.  All aggravated by poor postures at work when you have to work long hours in the same poor postures.
