Personal Chiropractic insurance cover
Derby Chiropractors Ian Reed (BUPA number 30014283, PPP Number IR000383) and Richard Neslon (BUPA number 300142282, PPP Number RN00604) are registered providers with all major insurance companies including BUPA, PPP, Norwich Union and Standard life. For private insurance plans there can be an excess to pay - it is usually about £100. But it will still be worth your while making a claim as the average number of treatments, for a typical simple back problem is four to six visits (at a total cost of £195 i.e. £45 for the initial consultation and 5 treatments at £30 ea.)
For more complicated or longer lasting problems more treatment than this is usually required, so it makes even more financial sense for you to make a claim should your case turn out to be one of these. If you are unsure whether to make a claim or not why not wait and pay for the first consultation (which would be taken off any excess to pay) when we will be able to give you a guide to how many treatments you are likely need.
How to make an insurance claim for your Chiropractic Treatment:-
- Ring up your insurance company and say that you are in pain and would like to see one of the chiropractors - either Ian Reed (BUPA number 30014283, PPP Number IR000383) or Richard Nelson (BUPA number 300142282, PPP Number RN00604) at WellBeing Clinics, 1 Wentworth House, Vernon Gate, Derby DE1 1UR. They will give you a claim number and tell you if you have an excess to pay or not. If there is an excess to pay, you will be informed how much it is.
- Each scheme is different but you may need a GP referral - your insurance company will tell if you do. If you do need a referral, a telephone call to your GP to get a verbal 'ok' is all we need initially to proceed. This means we can see you straight away with no delay in your diagnosis and treatment. If your GP does want to see you first we can arrange an appointment for you soon after this GP appointment. We do not have to physically have a referral letter before the consultation and treatment commences - only to know one is on the way. It is fine for the GP referral letter to arrive a few days later.
- Give us a call on (01332) 224820 to book an appointment. Please quote your claim number and inform us if you have an excess to pay and if so how much.
- We have flexible appointment times to suit, early and late. Often same day appointments are available but for the initial consultation we need more time (about an hour) so a specific time for this long consultation may take a few days to accommodate. Follow up treatment usually lasts about 15 minutes so it is much easier to find specific times that suit your schedule.
